Go For Colour!

As you know (if you read my last post), last weekend, I took pictures of Daniel at Bogobiri in Lagos. For my #OOTD, I decided to wear one of my favourite kaftans and for my #MOTD (Make-up Of The Day, Hellllloooo…!), I turned to my House of Tara, High Intensity Pigment Eye palette set to play with two of my favourite eye shadow hues at the moment: Green and Purple.

How gorgeous are the colours in House of Tara’s make-up set: especially the neon tones?

I don’t claim to be a make-up artist but I do love to play with colour when it comes to my eye make-up. It’s like painting a picture…I decided to have green on the inserts of my eye, whilst the rest of my lid was filled with purple.

On my lips I’m wearing MAC’s fabulous Lipglass, Desire.  This is the only shade of red that doesn’t make me look like a caricature.  To my ‘Sistas’, I know MAC’s Ruby Woo is said to be the butter to our bread when it comes to the perfect shade of red for dark complexions but it didn’t work for me. Plus I Don’t Do Lipstick.

Batik Print KaftanDon’t you just love wearing kaftans in the sweltering heat? I certainly do, I’m all about the No Muss, No Fuss essence of The Kaftan. Plus just like the turban- which I chose in a Look At Me Orange hue- it’s a quick one-stop drop to GlamVille.
