Sexy Christmas Dress Up- Budget-Friendly Christmas Costume Tips
It’s 8 days to Christmas folks and one windy winter’s night whilst I listened to Eartha Kitt’s, ‘Santa Baby…’, I got an idea to do a fun and sexy Christmas dress up photo shoot. Crimbo is nigh and expectedly, fashion and beauty online platforms are awash with lots of ideas to make you shimmer, razzle and dazzle. That’s all well and good but today I want to give some inspiration to the women out there looking for budget-friendly Christmas costumes. For my ladies who have chosen to be naughty over nice this Christmas, this one’s for you. Continue Reading...
First of all, yes, guilty as charged- I’ll use any excuse to get dressed in a black leather ensemble. By the by, if you are craving Xmas lingerie, my top is a bustier and can be worn under a more modest top.
Christmas Costume Tip
Accessories are the best way to dress up as a character for Christmas without breaking the bank. At this time of the year, lots of stores are selling novelty festive headbands, earrings, necklaces et al for affordable prices, so get stuck in!
Now, fun and games aside, I should have called this particular post- On the Journey to Body Confidence. I am single and I did this photo shoot for myself because I love to dress up and feel sexy. When I’m able to tie my boobs into a bow tie round my neck and I’m shrivelled up like a prune, I want to have pictures to remind myself that I was once…juicy. Granted when it comes to the ‘Sexy Mrs Santa’, ‘Sexy Elf’ and other provocative festive costumes out there- mine is super low-key. But that’s how I like it- I love subtle details like harness straps, a leather skirt with a slit that opens as wide as I find the man attractive in front of me… I did this shoot because I am working on my body confidence, in my late teens and early 20s, I only wore ankle length outfits, so me wearing midi pieces (as shown here) is a pretty big step for me. I have a long way to go but as the saying goes, ‘The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step’. (Lao Tzu)
I’m very inspired by burlesque and so it comes as no surprise that I love Dita Von Teese. I can’t walk in heels but in the spirit of ‘Sexy Christmas Dress Up’, I had to buy the patent platforms you see me wearing above. They cost a fabulously affordable 24 euros and I’ve always a wanted a pair of ‘Come F**** Me Heels, so Merry Christmas to me!!!!
We can’t talk Sexy Christmas Dress Up without discussing the tracks to get us in the mood. Eartha Kitt’s, Santa Baby is a winner and for me, Christina Milian’s, Dip It Low track comes to mind…the part where she croons, ‘…It’s late at night, he’s coming home…take him by the hand, let him know it’s on…’Hahahaha…erm…
Anyhoo, enough of my random thoughts- to all my readers (which Google Analytics tells me are dotted across the globe), thank you so much for your support this year and I wish you all a lovely festive season with your loved ones!
